In some areas of your home, marble may not be a viable alternative. It stains easily and chemicals such as hair dye, mouthwash, toothpaste, hair spray, etc., can damage the stone. Cultured marble vanity tops are sometimes used but never quite the same. The product is about 75 percent marble dust and the rest is composed of polymer resins that keep the attributes of marble with lower cost and higher functionality.
Real stone surfaces and granite bathroom countertops are affordable and last longer than people. There is never any doubt about whether it is natural or factory made.
To make stone vanities economically practical, we use slab remnants. If you were to buy a whole slab, the cost of the stone, transportation and installation for one bathroom would be prohibitive. We suggest you measure the size exactly - front, back and sides; where the faucets go, etc. - and bring them into our showroom. We will show you the available remnants, fabricate the top for you and give you instructions on installation, or you can have your own contractor do it.
Sometimes natural stone may not be available. Perhaps the homeowner doesn't live within a reasonable distance from a stone fabrication facility or the cost is beyond their financial ability. That's when cultured marble vanity tops are an alternative.
We, however, will provide service to anyone within a 50-mile radius of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Local residents can have natural stone vanities, countertops and more. Why not fax us a sketch of what you have in mind and we can talk about it?
